👊

Sticks and stones can break your bones but words (or lack of words) will give you the material to build a tower and stand tall.
We’re gonna get hurt. It’s inevitable...but here’s my dirty little secret.
I take that pain and use it to rise instead of letting it pull me down like a weight and so can you. Personally, I write about it. I wouldn’t have very many songs without some type of hurt...examples “Anymore” “Tequila & Whiskey” “The Pitcher” the list goes on....
So how do you go from a wounded mess to a warrior?
Changing your perspective is key. Look at Taylor Swift. In my opinion, she’s an incredible song writer. Millions of people make fun of her and she writes a song about it and sells millions of copies. Brilliant.
𝒯𝒽𝒶𝓉 is changing your perspective. That’s taking hurt and using it to build yourself up.
Maybe you’re not a song writer...maybe you love to run, sew, teach...whatever your passion is, you can use the hurt to better your craft or your work. Let it fire you up 🔥
and then use it as rocket fuel to make you rise!
Today I ask you to 𝓡𝓲𝓼𝓮 𝓾𝓹 🙌
Change the way you look at things.
Use that pain and fill your tank. Nothing says “Bye Felicia” quite like doing absolutely fantastic, or in my case, having a song play on the radio. So bring it on & hurt me all you want- you’re literally writing my next record. What will your pain do for you today? I can’t wait to see....
